Metadata is the quiet foundation of travel content at scale

A content library can hold thousands of high-quality videos and images and still underperform, because nobody can find the right asset at the right moment. The difference between a library and a usable catalog is metadata.

Good travel metadata answers practical questions: which property or destination is shown, what part of it, what season, what type of traveler it suits, and whether it can be used and where. When those fields are consistent, content can be matched automatically to listings, filtered by teams and checked for duplicates.

Getting there usually means agreeing a schema, cleaning existing content in prioritized batches, and building tagging into every new intake so the catalog does not drift back into disorder.
